Why is it that when everything in your life lines up perfectly, that person that you really do really don’t want to hear from suddenly decides to pop back in your life? Someone once told me that if you can’t go a day without thinking about someone, you shouldn’t give up on that person. I say you should try your hardest to at least put them on the back burner, especially if he’s one of those shady characters best forgotten (trust me, this one happens to be a Maximus Shadester). Ugh.. Whatever.

When life handed me this set of lemons, I quickly decided to squeeze them into my vodka shots at hand and hope for the best effort against the dreaded drunk dial.

Max Shadester (n): a boy who neglects to call/text/acknowledge your existence about 80 - 100% of the time until the clock strikes eleven, in which case he becomes totes concerned about your whereabouts. Occasionally throws you off the scent with a day text. Don’t be fooled- a chase will ensue that ends with you on the couch watching botoxed bitches flipping tables while you’re chillin with Ben+Jerry. Not cute.
